Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy explains how AKSH Engineering Systems Pvt. Ltd. ("AKSH Engineering", "we", "us" or "our") dispatches and delivers the equipment, systems and spare parts we supply. It applies to orders placed through www.akshengineering.com and to orders confirmed against our quotations.
Most of our products, such as spray dryers, flash dryers, evaporators and ZLD plants, are engineered and built to order. The specific delivery terms, timelines and freight arrangements for each order are set out in our quotation, proforma invoice or order confirmation, and those documents take precedence over this general policy.
1. Order Processing
- An order is considered confirmed only after we receive a signed purchase order (or online order) and the agreed advance payment, and after the technical specifications and drawings have been finalised and approved by both parties.
- Manufacturing and delivery timelines are counted from the date of order confirmation, or from the date of drawing approval if that is later.
- We will send you an order acknowledgement with the expected dispatch schedule.
2. Delivery Timelines
- Standard spare parts and accessories: usually dispatched within a few working days, subject to availability.
- Custom-built equipment and turnkey plants: the lead time depends on the design, capacity, material of construction and current workload. It is stated in the quotation for your project.
Delivery dates are best estimates. We will keep you informed of progress and let you know promptly if a delay is expected. We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, strikes, transport disruption, government restrictions, or delays in customer approvals, payments or site readiness.
3. Delivery Terms and Freight
- Unless otherwise agreed in writing, prices are Ex-Works from our manufacturing facility at Vatva, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
- If you ask us to arrange transport, freight charges, loading and any applicable taxes will be quoted separately and added to the invoice.
- Heavy or over-dimensional consignments are shipped by suitable road transport. Where needed, you are responsible for any special permits, escorts or site access.
- You may also arrange your own transporter. In that case, the equipment is handed over to your transporter at our works.
4. Packing
Equipment is packed to suit its size and mode of transport, which may include wooden crating, skids, shrink wrapping and protective covering of machined and sensitive parts. Large equipment may be shipped in sections and assembled at your site. Special or seaworthy export packing can be provided on request and may be charged extra.
5. Transit Insurance and Risk
- Risk in the goods passes to you when they are handed over to the transporter at our works, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Transit insurance is the customer's responsibility, unless it is included in our quotation. We can arrange insurance on request, at your cost.
6. Export Shipments
We supply equipment to customers outside India. For export orders:
- Shipping terms (such as Ex-Works, FOB or CIF) are agreed per order under Incoterms® 2020.
- We provide the standard export documents: commercial invoice, packing list and, where applicable, certificate of origin.
- Import duties, customs clearance, taxes and port charges at the destination are borne by the buyer, unless otherwise agreed.
7. Receiving the Goods
Please inspect the consignment when it arrives. If there is visible damage, missing packages or a shortage:
- Record the damage or shortage on the transporter's delivery receipt (Lorry Receipt / consignment note).
- Take photographs of the packing and the goods.
- Inform us in writing within 7 days of delivery at mkt@akshengineering.com, so we can help you with any insurance or transporter claim.
8. Installation and Commissioning
Delivery of equipment does not include erection, installation or commissioning, unless they are part of your order. Where they are included, our team will schedule the site work once the equipment has arrived and the site, utilities and civil work are ready.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Shipping Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
