Industrial Flash Dryers & Pneumatic Drying Systems

AKSH Engineering Systems Pvt. Ltd. is a leading manufacturer, supplier, and global exporter of high-efficiency Industrial Flash Dryers based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Engineered for rapid, continuous moisture removal from heat-sensitive wet cakes, slurries, and cohesive powders, our pneumatic flash drying systems deliver low residence times, exceptional thermal efficiency, and high operational throughput.

Whether processing agricultural products, chemical pigments, starch, or mineral cakes, AKSH Engineering custom-designs flash drying plants engineered for your exact moisture content, particle size distribution, and production capacity requirements.

What is an Industrial Flash Dryer?

An Industrial Flash Dryer (also known as a pneumatic dryer) is an instantaneous convective drying system. Wet material is introduced into a high-velocity stream of heated air, where it is dispersed and conveyed pneumatically through a vertical drying duct.

Because the moisture evaporation occurs in a matter of seconds, the product temperature remains low due to evaporative cooling. This makes flash drying the ideal thermal processing method for heat-sensitive materials requiring quick surface moisture removal.

Key Advantages of AKSH Pneumatic Flash Dryers

  • Instantaneous Drying Action: Ultra-short residence time (1 to 5 seconds) prevents thermal degradation and preserves product color, texture, and active chemical properties.

  • Continuous & High-Throughput Operation: Streamlined pneumatic conveying enables continuous processing with minimal material holdup inside the system.

  • Compact Footprint: Vertical duct design requires significantly less floor space compared to rotary or fluid bed drying equipment.

  • Low Operational Costs: High thermal heat-transfer rates combined with automated temperature controls minimize specific fuel and power consumption.

Frequently Asked Questions

Flash dryers are ideal for free-flowing powders, wet cakes, starch, and centrifuge filter cakes that require rapid surface moisture removal and can be pneumatically conveyed without heavy agglomeration.

Although the inlet air temperature is high, moisture evaporates almost instantaneously upon contact. The rapid latent heat absorption keeps the actual particle temperature low throughout the 1-to-5-second drying cycle.

Yes. For sticky or cohesive filter cakes, we manufacture flash dryers equipped with specialized disintegrators, feed agitating screws, or spin-flash mechanisms to break down lumps prior to pneumatic drying.
