Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when AKSH Engineering Systems Pvt. Ltd. ("AKSH Engineering", "we", "us" or "our") accepts order cancellations and returns, and how refunds are processed. It applies to orders placed through www.akshengineering.com and to orders confirmed against our quotations.
Most of our products, such as spray dryers, flash dryers, evaporators and ZLD plants, are designed and manufactured to each customer's specifications. For this reason, the cancellation and refund terms agreed in your quotation, proforma invoice or order confirmation take precedence over this general policy.
1. Order Cancellation
- Before design or manufacturing starts: you may cancel the order by writing to us. We will refund the advance paid, minus any costs already incurred, such as design and engineering work, bank charges and any non-cancellable purchases.
- After design, material purchase or manufacturing has started: custom-built equipment cannot normally be cancelled. If we agree to a cancellation, we will deduct the cost of the engineering done, materials bought, work completed and any other reasonable expenses. The advance may be fully or partly retained.
- After dispatch: orders cannot be cancelled once the goods have been dispatched.
All cancellation requests must be sent in writing to mkt@akshengineering.com and quote your order or purchase order number.
2. Returns
a) Custom-built equipment and plants
Equipment made to your specifications cannot be returned for a refund. If there is a manufacturing defect, it is covered under our warranty. We will repair or replace the defective parts as described in Section 4 below.
b) Standard spare parts and accessories
Standard, unused spare parts may be returned within 7 days of delivery if:
- We supplied the wrong item, or the item arrived damaged or defective, or
- We have given written approval for the return before you send the item
Returned items must be unused, in their original packing, and accompanied by the invoice. Parts that are custom-made, cut to size, specially ordered, electrical or electronic parts that have been installed or powered on, and consumables cannot be returned.
3. Damaged or Incorrect Deliveries
If your order arrives damaged, incomplete or different from what you ordered, please note it on the transporter's delivery receipt, take photographs, and inform us in writing within 7 days of delivery. After inspection, we will arrange a repair, replacement or refund for the affected items. Please also see our Shipping Policy.
4. Warranty Claims
Our equipment is covered by the warranty stated in your quotation or order confirmation. Under warranty, we repair or replace parts that are defective in material or workmanship. Warranty service does not entitle you to a cash refund. The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, or consumable parts
- Damage from improper operation, poor maintenance, or use outside the design parameters
- Changes or repairs made by anyone who is not authorised by us
- Damage caused by accidents, power fluctuations, or unsuitable utilities or site conditions
5. How Refunds Are Processed
- Once a refund has been approved, we will process it within 7–10 working days.
- Refunds are made to the original payment method, or by bank transfer to the account that made the payment.
- Bank charges, payment gateway fees, freight and transit insurance charges are not refundable, unless the return is due to our error.
- If a refund is issued, any applicable taxes (such as GST) will be adjusted according to the law, for example by issuing a credit note.
- Your bank may take additional time to credit the amount to your account.
6. Non-Refundable Items and Services
- Design, engineering, drawing and consultancy charges once the work has started
- Installation, erection, commissioning and training services already provided
- Site visits, trial runs and testing charges
- Freight, packing and insurance charges
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. The version in effect when your order was confirmed will apply to that order.
